People are thinkers and toolmakers. from weiyismart's blog

What has changed in armour since the massive changes to combat? Based on what I've seen so far I have these questions: Does armor no RS gold longer offer bonuses for attack? What kind of incentive should I choose to use for armour that is appropriate to my class? The new d’hide/ purple stoles/rune appears to offer the same defensive and life bonuses. How does it work? Is that robe as protective as the rune? What is the reason I would wear rune?

Theoretically, because offensive bonuses no longer come form armor If a safespotting archer or mage is a skilled archer, safespotting mage or archer, then wearing less armor shouldn’t make me any more disadvantage than someone with the most powerful armor. Are you sure?

It's not really armor-related however Spiders are extremely easy to take down. How can I spot their weaknesses in the other categories? What can I do to decide which part of a spell works best in dealing with them, or which type of ammunition to choose? or should I forget completely about using anything besides melee against them?

I've heard most of the weapons are now balanced and is this the same case for armor? AKA is it possible to utilize chain mail to slay an opponent and not lose defense bonuses? Also, square shields and medium helms were upgraded to ensure their viability. The new update isn't clear enough for me, and I am trying to understand it. I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

As the Evolution of Combat update burns down on players of Runescape, one of the battle cries heard is "Adapt or die!". EoC supporters usually hear this cry since they believe that adjusting to changes is a positive thing.

People are thinkers and toolmakers. They are able to adapt their environment to suit their own requirements. When that environment includes other people we need to discuss it. Being a sheep means being able to adapt to the environment and allowing others to dictate what you are saying. You get slaughtered.

Focus and flexibility are two indicators of intelligence. Jagex has neither. It's been uncompromising in the way it has been ramming updates through and its focus on money, not people. Jagex's style of communication is the problem. The Runescape forums lie at the heart of the cheap OSRS gold problem. Forums are where Jagex and players can talk and get Runescape going again.
