What it says is its commitment to Madden as a live service game from bertramuzi's blog

In a statement issued today, EA Sports told IGN: We don't want to comment on rumors or speculation Madden 22 coins; however, we're committed to continuing to improve Franchise as a element of our Madden NFL 22 Live Service, and even beyond. This includes two upcoming Franchise update that we'll provide during Madden NFL 22. We will have more details about the updates during the new year.

The news comes after a report from Sports Gamers Online that EA has decided to stop any further update updates to the franchise modes for Madden 22. It cited IGN's conversation with Madden 22 Executive Producer Seann Graddy. Graddy stated that the content plan is "slightly less ambitious than in years prior" since the team is concentrated on a few important areas instead of trying to release items on the size of Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode launched by Madden 20.

"I believe that the roadmap is] probably slightly less ambitious than previous years because we're really focusing on a handful of core segments in Madden 22 and also getting into Madden 23 in a big way," Graddy said at the time. "So I will stand by what we've always stated over in the past couple of years"We're a living service and we'll continue to improve this game. However, we're definitely not talking about a new mode."

The report was a source of attention due to the fact that franchise mode is a sore point with some Madden players buy mut coins. Indeed, the promised roadmap initially came as a result of the campaign #fixmaddenfranchise that was circulating on Twitter between mid-2020. It was triggered by reports that EA did not plan improvements to franchise mode at the time.
