The discussions continued to progress as did the discussions from spring's blog

The discussions continued to RS Gold progress as did the discussions. Melvor Idle was soon signed to Jagex Partners, the RuneScape publishing arm of the firm. Jagex provided Malcolm development advice and helped with a complete overhaul of the brand and also assisted with the management of communities and localisation, transforming the game designed by one individual into something available in 13 languages (so as of).

The launch was earlier in the month but even its Early Access version proved this formula was popular with RPG players, having been downloaded more than 600,000 times across Steam and the two largest smartphone app stores. This was far beyond Malcolm's initial expectations when he first started out. Naturally, he believed that his strategy would succeed but the game didn't have an "endgame to think about.

"Luckily the enjoyment that fueled those early months is still with me during the past few years of work, and being the only person to work in conjunction with Jagex in direct collaboration on this is an incredible opportunity to fulfill a dream," he says. "I would never have imagined that I'd get the support of the very studio which inspired me in osrs accounts the first place..
