Despite Nintendo's announcement that there will be no more DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons following the release of New Horizons 2.0 and the Happy Home Paradise DLC in late 2021, the amount of content coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been drastically reduced. As a result, holidays and other special occasions tend to be the same from year to year, with only minor variations in the types of items that are available for purchase on a given occasion. Nonetheless, it can provide a welcome change of pace from the usual daily Animal Crossing Items and tasks of New Horizons, which may be enough to keep Animal Crossing fans entertained until the next game is announced.
