"We don't know why they come to come up with the $50 million figure," Dryer said. "The money goes into a fund, which will give it existing charities and then the charity in a miraculous way, attempts to distribute the money to players. I don't want to be engaged in a market I'm not understanding.


"What does work is to get money straight to the former player. This is exactly what we'd like. We're interested in knowing what the revenue source is so that we can agree on a deal for all retired players.


"I'm getting rid of this deal. I'm not interested in anything to do with this deal."
