While Class Change is definitely the main feature of Diablo Immortal's new update, there are new rewards and events to be added as well D2R ladder items. The reward system called"the Hero's Journey is being added which rewards players with different items as they take on challenges that will increase in difficulty at more Paragon levels. There's a bunch of new legendary items being added to each class that will be focusing on new powers that inflict permanent damage.

The new event, called The Adventurer's Path, will have participants completing challenges that earn them gold, enchanted dust, and scrap materials. There is a special portrait frame that will be awarded to those who have completed 16 tasks. There will also be an iconic crest to be awarded for finishing 20 tasks. The event will run from July 20 until August 30. It's the Hungering Moon, Diablo Immortal's initial event that was limited to a certain time will be returning from July 29 to 31.

Last but not least an additional boss for raids is coming to Helliquary. Gorgothra the Claimer will be added August 2. although Blizzard hasn't yet revealed the requirements Combat Rating players will need to be able to obtain before they can take on The new boss.

Diablo Immortal, which is free to play, received a lot of criticism at the time it was launched in June because of its diverse microtransactions and "pay-to-win" famous gem system, even as it reportedly made over $50 million during the first month. Blizzard hasn't yet addressed complaints about how the game's monetization works.

With Blizzard its president Mike Ybarra instead defending the game's monetization system in an interview. In the wake of a backlash against Diablo Immortal, Blizzard has clarified that while the upcoming Diablo IV will have an in-game microtransactions store, it is only for cosmetics buy diablo II resurrected items, and there will not be a way to pay real money for in-game power.
