It stings a little, but the title of this main post also made me instantly think of Bungie, with Destiny two. Them WOW TBC Classic Gold committing to thing sunsetting for so long as they did... especially with the arrogance, saying that it is the correct thing to do, despite all of the valid criticism about it. They did not care about all of the participant time spent grinding to get their desirable rolls, watching their items power-capped, then needing to re-grind the specific same rolls and weapon, only with a fresh power cap. They did not actually make the new drops distinct in any meaningful way like sunsetting was likely to perform.

Like the title, you can assert they were totally incompetent, they desired the encouraged player moment, or heck, maybe it is not black and white - they were fine knowing that their incompetence rewarded them, therefore they dragged their feet on addressing it until more than a year later.

Wow has had 20 decades of development effort and experience thrown at it. Apart from shitty decisions and systems... It functions, the game functions and contains a complete world constructed already. That is a whole lot more than we can say about a lot of mmos already. For the most part there are no game busting issues which prevent a massive section of the player base from enjoying .

Everyone put in 20k hours to the game feels connected to it and it's to get better. . Right? Those 20k hours were not for nothing. . Right?

I feel as the price of building the mmo genre is going to be nearly impossible to get into without previous base.

There is a few ones on the horizon with a theoretical unlimited budget such as new world and ashes of creation but these mmos would have to be polished to perfection and revolutionary to get folks to stay on them along with my hopes for them are not very high.

I used to chat with Hazzikostas regularly in Vanilla. We played on the exact same server. He was among the most friendly and intelligent gamers I've ever met. I can't fathom he is genuinely incompetent. There is just no way. He came into the gambling industry via guild management like Pardo and Kaplan.

This is what I remember of him. He was one of the posters who convinced me not to get involved and contribute something to EJ - just be a lurker and utilize other people's math to my advantage. Ion was cheap WOW Burning Crusade Classic Gold real big on jumping down people's throats for daring to oppose him, even though he was obviously wrong. He was a prick and he's a prick now.
